Aspen Medical is seeking expressions of interest from senior healthcare professionals for an immediate-start, short-term advisory project relating to neurodevelopmental care, clinical pathway design and service improvement. This engagement would suit experienced professionals with a background in child development, neurodevelopmental services, paediatrics, disability services, care coordination, clinical pathway design, assistive technology, healthcare service planning or healthcare project management. The work will be advisory in nature and will support the development of practical, evidence-informed outputs for a healthcare system improvement project. The role will be mostly remote, with an expected 1–2 weeks of travel to the GCC during the assignment.
Role Overview
The Subject Matter Expert will provide specialist input into the development of neurodevelopmental care pathways, care coordination models, assistive technology considerations, pathway-related KPIs and practical recommendations for service improvement. Depending on background and expertise, the SME may contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- child development and neurodevelopmental care;
- paediatrics, disability or complex care services;
- clinical pathway design and service planning;
- care coordination and multidisciplinary care models;
- assistive technology assessment and recommendations;
- healthcare project management and stakeholder coordination;
- KPI development, benchmarking and service performance considerations.
Key Responsibilities
The SME may be required to:
- review relevant documents, evidence, policies, pathways and service information;
- provide specialist advice on neurodevelopmental care models and good practice;
- support the development of practical care pathways and referral processes;
- advise on care coordination, multidisciplinary working and family-centred care;
- contribute to assistive technology assessment and recommendations;
- support pathway-related KPI development and benchmarking;
- participate in remote meetings, workshops and validation sessions;
- attend selected in-country workshops or stakeholder sessions in the GCC;
- provide written input into reports, presentations and technical outputs;
- work collaboratively with Aspen Medical’s project team and other advisers.
Required Experience
Applicants should have senior-level experience in one or more of the following areas:
- neurodevelopmental care;
- child development services;
- paediatrics;
- disability services or services for People of Determination;
- speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, nursing, medicine, allied health or related fields;
- healthcare service planning or pathway design;
- clinical governance or multidisciplinary service models;
- assistive technology;
- healthcare transformation, public sector healthcare, regulatory projects or hospital service improvement.
Experience in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada or the United States is preferred.
