The role

Provide systems support and analysis to the finance function both on an ad-hoc and project specific basis. Implement cost-effective technology solutions to resolve business problems

Key accountabilities

Strategy and Planning

• Contributes to, monitors and advises on the plan developments and changes in order to ensure relevancy, compliance and optimal delivery.
• Assists in the preparation and implementation of the operational team plans to ensure these are in line with wider business strategy and reflect key priorities.
• Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of the function’s objectives.
• Benchmarking of delivery to plan objectives
• Management team feedback
• Alignment, and engagement of team to tactical goals
• Relevancy, accuracy and timeliness of contribution/advice

Policy, Process and Procedures

• Develops and details process changes as required, gaining business agreement and documenting as appropriate.
• Adheres to standards and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency in line with process-control time frames.
• Ensures that files are maintained in a logical and accessible manner and/or other issues are clearly documented at all times.
• Ensures awareness of and compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Completion & sign-off of business solutions policies and procedures manuals on annual review.
• Increase in efficiency through automation of manual processes.
• Compliance with best practice, regulatory/legal requirements and Aspen processes and policies.
• Progress closely monitored and reviewed.
• Implementation of, and adherence to effective controls.
• Positive feedback from key stakeholders.
• Quality and accuracy of files/documentation.

Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus

• Establishes, strengthen and develops relationships with stakeholders to support their needs, maximise influence, and achieve business objectives.
• Analyses the needs of internal Aspen clients and pro-actively ensures resolution of issues and queries within agreed timeframes.

Skills & experience

Knowledge And Experience

• Hands-on knowledge of technology and system lifecycles.
• Knowledge of documentation of user requirements.
• Excellent working knowledge of relevant Aspen systems.
• Good knowledge of industry changes and best practice.
• Good understanding of company objectives and how own role contributes to these.
• Specific professional qualifications at a level of degree or equivalent
• Relevant professional/industry-related experience and courses for systems within current finance architecture
