Role Purpose
To support and execute on the deliverables of the defined claims operations strategy that provides data analytic insights to drive continuous improvement across the global claims function and associated internal departments. Scope out and build effective analytical products to ensure all regulatory and operational reporting is accurate and delivered within required timelines. Support the performance of the claims department by identifying key trends and insights in claims data, enabling data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency, reduce processing times, and enhance customer satisfaction. To support claims governance and compliance ensuring adherence to global regulatory and legislative standards. Key Results Areas
- Strategy and Planning
- Develop analytical products to monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators for claims globally.
- Contribute to the delivery of MI & Analytics priorities required to meet and deliver against global Claims priorities.
- Develop self-service tools of management information to improve productivity and help to drive business decisions.
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting to the Claims Executive, Exco and Boards.
- Policy, Process and Procedures
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
- Support the Claims Operations team to ensure all claims analytical and operations support services are delivered to the agreed quality and within defined service levels.
- Drive and support process improvement and business change by being a source of information and expertise to help drive the adoption of analytical products for claims.
- Serving as the key point of contact for operational support to claim professionals to resolve queries.
- Technical Performance
- Support the global claims function in the production of analytical products.
- Produce regular statistical and analytical claims information to Portfolio and Risk Managers and Senior Management to enable effective monitoring of Claims.
- Effectively use data and analytics to problem solve and drive improvement.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required.
Knowledge
- Extensive and relevant knowledge of the demands of an analytically focused role.
- Extensive experience of working with and extracting data from systems and analytical tools.
- Experience of working within a highly regulated environment.
- Genuine interest in process improvement and generating efficiencies.
- Understanding of technical claims handling would be advantageous.
Experience
- In-depth experience of working in a data and analytical environment.
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry would be advantageous.
Skills
- Proficient in data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Prior use of Python would be advantageous, however not essential.
- Able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.
- Able to produce detailed reports and analytical packs at various levels.
