Aspen Court Nursing and Dementia Care Home is a modern, purpose built care home located on the peaceful northern outskirts of Taunton, Somerset. The home provides specialist Nursing, Dementia and Complex Care for up to 42 residents in a safe and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

Contract: £13.93 per hour

Full Time

Shift Times: 08:00 AM - 20:00 PM

Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview:

As Care Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high quality, person centred care within a specialist complex care environment supporting individuals with complex physical and mental health needs. Working closely with the nursing and management team, you will help maintain high standards across shifts while supporting a calm, professional and well organised care environment.

This is a hands on leadership role where you will guide and support the wider care team, helping ensure residents receive safe, effective and compassionate care tailored to their individual needs. You will support with shift coordination, oversee day to day care delivery, monitor resident wellbeing and contribute towards maintaining accurate care documentation and person centred care plans.

You will also play an important role in supporting and developing colleagues across the team, promoting best practice and helping create a positive and supportive workplace culture where residents feel respected, valued and cared for at all times. Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your experience, communication skills and leadership approach to contribute towards a safe, responsive and clinically focused environment throughout the service.

What We Are Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this
  • Previous experience within a senior care or leadership role
  • Confidence supporting and guiding a care team
  • Good understanding of person centred care and safeguarding
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Medication training and administration experience is beneficial
  • A calm, reliable and compassionate approach
