The opportunity Aspects Beauty Company are looking for a Management Accountant to join the business on a full time permanent basis. The Role - Management Accountant

  • Main Role
    • Full support for the Group Financial Controller (GFC) on all financial matters relating to Aspects Beauty Company Limited.
    • Production of management accounts & year end accounts with all relevant schedules & backup, budgeting, forecasts, sales analysis and various ad-hoc financial tasks.
    • Working to tight deadlines for the production of the accounts and developing systems to reduce these deadlines utilising our ERP system and other appropriate systems and software.
    • Day to day management of the finance function of the company in the future.
  • Monthly Management Accounts
    • Production of accounts to a set deadline including prepayments, accruals, stock reconciliations & cost of goods control, fixed asset register & depreciation, balance sheet reconciliations. P&L to include full P&Ls by Brand and other reporting required by the Brand Owner.
  • Year End Accounts
    • As per management accounts but includes all schedules in readiness for audit.
    • Liaising with auditors during the annual audit & providing any further requested analysis.
  • Budgeting
    • Production of annual budgets.
    • Production of ad-hoc budgets.
    • Budgets to be phased accurately by month.
  • Other responsibilities
    • VAT returns.
    • Payroll checking.
    • National statistics.
    • Supervision of finance team.

Experience

  • CIMA / ACCA Qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management accountant role.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

  • Microsoft Office – with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint. Excel must be at advanced level with the ability to create and use pivot tables, data extraction, VLookups etc.
  • Produce Management Accounts on a monthly basis to deadlines including P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow.
  • Produce Year End accounts for audit.
  • Produce annual budgets / revisions.
  • Cashflow forecasting.
  • VAT Returns, UK & Eire.
  • Developing systems to enhance and accelerate the production of accounts, using tools such as Power Bi.
  • People management. Ability to manage a small team & maintain a good team ethic.
