About Us
Covering more trades than anyone else, Aspect is one of London’s largest property maintenance teams. We’re always ready to help no matter what maintenance issue someone has; reactive, remedial, planned maintenance and projects. We do this 24/7. After more than 15 years of helping thousands of residential and commercial customers every month, we have ambitious plans to expand our business over the next 3 years. We’re committed to delivering the best possible experience for our customers and believe we can change the perception home and business owners have of finding and working with tradespeople. Our tradespeople and their technical managers are key to our success.
The Role
As the Gas Trade Manager/ Field Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of up to 30 qualified and experienced gas engineers. You’ll provide technical support and advice for them as part of their daily schedule. This includes making site visits to give guidance. You’ll provide formal performance feedback to tradespeople to assist continuous development. You’ll be expected to deal directly with customers who require quotes for large-scale projects, providing them with SOW and fixed-price quotes. The role will include helping to resolve customer complaints when our Customer Care team need field-based support. You’ll communicate with office staff and tradespeople to help deliver operational excellence, so our customers receive the high levels of service delivery they expect. You will complete regular site inspections and quality control visits, to ensure company compliance and regulatory standards are being maintained. Using this, you will provide feedback on engineer performance to the Operations Manager and shareholders in monthly meetings. In addition, you’ll assist with the recruitment, onboarding and assessment of new tradespeople. Feedback sessions will form part of their initial contract period. You’ll be expected to gather informal customer feedback and conduct QC checks during this period.
About You
Having a minimum of 5 years’ experience and extensive qualifications in gas and plumbing is essential. Commercial gas qualifications are desired. You’ll have experience working in both domestic and commercial properties and will be conversant in current trade regulations. You’ll have excellent knowledge of trade regulations and help ensure work is always compliant. You’ll also have relevant H&S training and experience of completing RAMS. You’ll need to be well organised and have the ability to deal with multiple situations happening concurrently. Be able to plan your time effectively and reliably deliver rather than over-promising. You’ll have a full, clean UK driving licence and you’ll be prepared to drive to jobs wherever they are in London or the Home Counties. We expect you to have excellent communication skills and be used to working as part of multi-discipline teams. You’ll be able to share your knowledge and experience to help develop the skills of others. You’ll also have experience in helping to develop customer relationships.
