The workload for our Security Operations function is increasing as they have to deal with more alerts and incidents, without the benefit of automation and analytics to reduce the manual effort and improve the response time. Moreover, we have to comply with the increasing Government standards and expectations for security monitoring, such as the Cyber Assessment Framework and the Minimum Cyber Security Standard.
There is a lack of internal capability in terms of security resources with the skill set to deliver this as this is a new initiative. The resources requested in this business case underpin our ability to:
- Implement, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks XSIAM platform to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and maintain security policies, rules, and configurations to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
- Integrate XSIAM with other security tools and information systems.
