Job Title: Senior Project Manager Location: London/York/Peterborough (whichever is closest) 3 days per week on site/ hybrid Contract Duration: 10 Months Daily Rate: £523 -£660 per day IR35 Status: Inside We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of Electrical Safety programmes and standards implementation projects across the Region. Reporting into the Electrical Safety leadership team, you will manage a small team of three engineers while coordinating multiple workstreams that support both national standards development and regional implementation activities As a Senior Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be to: Project manage a small team of three engineers supporting the Central Electrical Safety Delivery Team with the development of electrical safety standards and supporting the Eastern Region with the implementation of standards and technology changes. Develop, maintain and monitor project plans, programmes and budgets across multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and cost targets. Produce regular project performance reports, highlighting progress, risks, issues, dependencies and key milestones. Provide periodic financial reporting, forecasting and budget management to support effective programme control. Conduct efficiency reviews and identify opportunities to improve delivery performance, governance and value for money. Coordinate and oversee the implementation and development of key electrical safety initiatives, including SAI25, SAI750, SAI25000, Remote Securing, Optimised Earthing, NSCD Capex works and Electrical Safety Culture programmes. Communicate programme developments, changes and implementation requirements to stakeholders across the Region. Engage with multidisciplinary teams and subject matter experts to manage queries, provide guidance and facilitate successful adoption of new standards and processes. Track competence requirements and support the management of competence changes arising from standards development and implementation activities. Develop and maintain programme workbooks, ensuring priorities, actions and deliverables are clearly defined and managed. Essential: Demonstrable experience delivering projects within Network Rail. Strong understanding of Network Rail project management methodologies and governance requirements. Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost management, and performance reporting. Knowledge of procurement processes, efficiency governance, and risk control frameworks. Experience managing multidisciplinary stakeholders and technical teams. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Desirable: Understanding of Electrification and Plant (E&P) systems. Knowledge of Overhead Line Equipment (OLE)K, Electrical Isolations, Maintenance delivery Electrical Safety standards and implementation processes Experience supporting standards development and technical change programmes. Familiarity with competence management processes within railway operations and maintenance environments.
