Job Title: Building Information Lead Location: Hybrid (Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, Glasgow, Birmingham or Pontypridd) – 2-3 days/week on site Contract Duration : 31/3/26 (Ext tbc) Daily Rate: £450/day (Umbrella – Maximum) IR35 Status: Inside IR35 The Building Information Lead plays a pivotal role in: Day to day management of the Pilot CDE and capital project interactions Implementing assurance processes to validate structured project information for asset management using the Pilot CDE Supporting BIM and Government Soft Landings (GSL) processes. Acting as a key liaison across internal teams, supply chain partners, and other government departments. Engagement with other government departments on CDE topics and lessons learned. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of the organisations strategic CDE proposal, including pilot programme management. Involved in Digital Estate portfolio, overseeing the application & use of the Asset Digitalisation Matrix which applies fit-for-purpose BIM strategies to properties. Develop new procedures, policies, systems, and guidance documentation. Lead CDE related change management initiatives. Developing a CDE Strategy on the outcomes of the CDE pilot projects/pathfinders Gathering & Documenting CDE pilot projects/pathfinders progress and lessons learned. Develop BIM ‘How to\’ guidance with assistance from other AIM team members. Develop a proposal & road map to manage historical data, with the aim to improve storage, searchability & access across Estates. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience with BIM and Information Management (ISO19650). Knowledge of Common Data Environments, document management & document control. Government Soft Landings, and the “golden thread” principle. Experience in developing procurement strategies for new technologies within government frameworks. Experience in continuous improvement of BIM systems and strategic principles across large estates. Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo constructively. Desirable Qualifications Working towards RICS (MRICS/FRICS), RIBA, or IAM (Institute of Asset Management). Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, MSP). Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification.
