About The Role
We are entering an exciting phase of sustained growth, expanding our Clinical Negligence Department. This role offers genuine career progression and is suited to ambitious, committed lawyers who aspire to progress to Associate level in the future.
Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of Clinical Negligence claims from cradle to grave
- Conducting thorough legal research and providing sound legal advice to clients
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements
- Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court when necessary
- Working in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure successful outcomes of cases
- Keeping up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Person Specification
Qualified and motivated lawyer with 1–3 years PQE, CILEx qualification, or equivalent experience. Must demonstrate tenacity, enthusiasm, and strong technical ability, alongside a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients. Experience in clinical negligence matters, both pre‑issue and issued cases, is required. Must work with clients with empathy and understanding.
Salary & Hours
Basic salary up to £50,000 depending on experience, plus generous commission scheme paid monthly. Standard working hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday; 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday
