Overview

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England NE3. Permanent – full time or part time available (Mon-Fri). Mixture of remote and assessment centre working, offering an exceptional work-life balance. Role: Disability Assessor for Work Capability Assessments (WCA) as part of the DWP Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS), working with claimants with a broad range of health conditions. Some assessments may be conducted remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Use clinical experience to assess people with diverse health conditions and understand how disability affects daily life.
  • Complete assessments in office, at home, or via telephone, video, or face-to-face.
  • Interpret medical evidence and compile findings into a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making.

Requirements

  • Physiotherapist with HCPC registration is required (we can only accept applications from Physiotherapists for this vacancy).
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration UK experience is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback; ability to work autonomously and IT competent.
