Overview
Use your clinical experience to work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, to gain a clear understanding of how their challenges and the ways their disability affects them impacts their daily life.
Working within an office style environment and at home, to complete approximately detailed, meaningful and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face.
Responsibilities
- Interpret medical evidence and gather findings into a comprehensive report to support the decision-making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
- Assess claimants who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit as part of the DWP’s Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
- Conduct assessments with individuals who have a broad range of health conditions, with some assessments conducted remotely.
- Work autonomously and manage assessments across a mix of remote and assessment centre settings to support a strong work-life balance.
- Receive an in-depth, fully paid training programme and contribute to professional development as part of the role.
Qualifications
- Qualified Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Pharmacist or Occupational Therapist.
- NMC/HCPC registration is required.
- At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential.
- Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and IT competency is essential.
