Are you an experienced stores or logistics professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and keeping a busy operation running smoothly?
We’re looking for a proactive Stores Manager to lead our stores and delivery operations. You’ll be responsible for stock control, materials handling and the coordination of our driving team, ensuring our project teams receive the right materials at the right time.
No two days will be exactly the same. One moment you could be coordinating deliveries to project sites, and the next you could be checking incoming stock, investigating a discrepancy or identifying a smarter way of working.
The role
As our Stores Manager, you will:
- Lead, support and coordinate our team of drivers.
- Plan timely deliveries and collections between suppliers, depots and project sites.
- Manage stock receipt, storage, picking, issue and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate purchase-order, goods-receipt and stock-adjustment records.
- Oversee returned materials, waste documentation and scrap recovery.
- Monitor the condition and movement of company assets.
- Ensure stores, warehouses and yards remain safe, clean, secure and organised.
- Support facilities management and day-to-day maintenance within the stores.
- Champion safe working practices and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with project teams and the Procurement Manager, making this a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence how our stores and logistics operation develops.
About you
You’ll bring previous experience from a stores, warehouse, logistics or materials-management environment, together with strong organisational skills and a practical, hands‑on approach.
A full driving licence and forklift licence are essential. You’ll also need to be confident using IT and stock-management systems, communicating with different teams and balancing multiple priorities.
Most importantly, you’ll be approachable, dependable and committed to maintaining excellent standards of safety, accuracy, service and housekeeping.
