The Role:
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years' experience supporting production infrastructure who enjoys working across a broad range of technologies, particularly Linux, while also being comfortable in mixed-platform environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Linux systems and infrastructure services across a mixed Linux (Ubuntu and RHEL) and Microsoft environment
- Assisting with the deployment, maintenance and improvement of servers and infrastructure services
- Troubleshooting system, application, performance and availability issues
- Working with automation and configuration management tooling
- Supporting virtualisation, storage, networking and cloud-based services
- Contributing to documentation, monitoring and operational best practices
Requirements:
Essential:
- 2-5 years' experience supporting production infrastructure environments
- Good Linux administration skills, including services, networking, permissions, filesystems and logging
- Experience working in mixed Linux and Microsoft environments
- Experience supporting physical, virtual or cloud-based infrastructure
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and authentication services
- Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell or Python
Desirable:
- Experience with configuration management or automation tooling such as Puppet, Ansible or similar
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Active Directory-integrated Linux environments
- Experience with tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Docker, Grafana, Terraform or Kubernetes would be beneficial but is not required.
