We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Developer to join our Research Technology team, contributing to the development and maintenance of key investment infrastructure and analytics. This role involves collaborating with quantitative researchers and traders to design and implement scalable solutions to complex business problems. This is a senior individual-contributor role with the potential to develop into technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain critical components of the investment infrastructure, including the data interface layer, central risk calculations, and backtesting frameworks utilized by our investment team.
- Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to engineer robust solutions for business challenges.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota for critical production systems.
- Support code quality, documentation, knowledge sharing, and the technical development of less experienced colleagues.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Quantitative Developer in a buy-side environment.
- Strong Python expertise, including scientific Python, performance optimisation, automated testing, and production-quality software development.
- Experience developing or materially extending backtesting frameworks, ideally for cross-asset systematic strategies.
- Experience productionising systematic strategies, including integration with data and execution platforms, scheduling, monitoring, and release management.
- Good understanding of systematic futures trading, together with the ability to translate ambiguous research requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
