Company Description
We're ASOS, the online retailer for fashion lovers all around the world. We exist to give our customers the confidence to be whoever they want to be, and that goes for our people too.
At ASOS, you're free to be your true self without judgement, and channel your creativity into a platform used by millions. Everyone needs some help showing up as their best self. We're Disability Confident Committed - let our Talent team know if you need any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.
Job Description
Own and drive profitable trading performance across an assigned market or portfolio of markets. This is not a reporting role. You will use data, commercial judgement and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities, make clear recommendations and mobilise cross-functional teams around the actions that matter most.
The Details
- Own market performance across revenue, traffic, conversion, margin, discount investment, customer behaviour and proposition KPIs.
- Set the market trading strategy, priorities and action plan based on customer insight, local dynamics and commercial opportunity.
- Identify performance risks and growth opportunities early, taking decisive action without waiting for instruction.
- Lead forecasting, scenario planning and performance reviews, clearly articulating assumptions, risks and upside.
- Make informed trade-offs across growth, margin, promotion, customer experience and long-term market health.
- Act as the market expert across customer behaviour, competition, product, pricing, payments, delivery, returns and local trading rhythms.
- Shape and influence cross-functional roadmaps across Trading, Pricing, Marketing, Product, Planning, Finance and Operations.
- Lead market-specific tests and initiatives, ensuring clear hypotheses, measures and commercial follow-through.
- Use AI, automation and self-service analytics to improve decision speed, remove manual work and raise trading effectiveness.
- Hold teams to account for delivery, ensuring actions have clear owners, deadlines and measurable outcomes.
- Represent the market in senior commercial forums, bringing clear recommendations rather than updates alone.
We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That's why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It's a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.

How to prepare for a job interview at ASOS
✨Show Off Your Customer Service Skills

We should have examples on hand of how we've handled difficult situations or gone above and beyond to meet a customer's needs. These anecdotes will bring your application to life!
✨Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems
Many retail roles require us to work with Point of Sale (POS) systems, so it's a good idea to brush up on any relevant software you’ve used before. We should research popular items or trends in the industry before the interview, so we can speak confidently about them.
✨Be Ready for Role-Playing Scenarios
Many retail interviews include role-playing scenarios where we might have to deal with a difficult customer or upsell a product. Practising these scenarios with a friend or family member can help us feel more comfortable. The key here is to showcase our problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure!
