As a Software Engineer in one of our 30 engineering platforms operating at hyper-scale (thousands of requests per second), you\\\βll work as part of a strong cross-functional agile team driving quality and technology, sharing your skills and experience with the team. With around 5000 new products going live every week, there is huge scope to provide capabilities that improve colleague efficiency and enable better decisions, driving a stronger product offer to our fashion-loving customers. Our development approach focuses heavily on TDD and Continuous Delivery. This role is part of our Software Engineering Flexible Sales Channels team.
We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. Our approach includes spending at least 2 days a week in the office to speed up decision-making and support growth, creativity, and success.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team that delivers high-quality software into production.
- Take a test-first approach from business requirements through to code.
- Continually develop and improve our code and technology, playing a key role in the team.
- Write high-quality code to drive company growth and improve the effectiveness of the buying and merchandising teams who use our software.
- Join regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share knowledge, and drive improvements in engineering.
- Support our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
About You
- Experience with software delivery in an iterative, continuous delivery environment that ships value frequently.
- Experience integrating with 3rd parties.
- Latest versions of .NET Framework, .NET Standard and .NET Core (C#).
- Great programming practices.
- Appetite for learning.
