Headquartered in London, the Brands have over 2 million customers across the globe through the ASOS platform and generate brand sales of c£200m. Following the formation of a Joint Venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is creating a standalone cross-functional team within ASOS which is dedicated to unlocking the huge growth potential of the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands. The brands will now benefit from ASOS infrastructure and resources while enjoying the creative freedom and agility of standalone brands. The next 12 months for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will see the expansion of the brands’ offline and online retail presence with the launch of Topshop.com and new wholesale partnerships.
We’re looking for a talented Denim Designer to join the Topshop design team, driving the creative direction for our denim category. You’ll play a key role in shaping trend-led, commercially successful collections that reflect Topshop’s iconic fashion authority and resonate with our global customer. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where you’ll balance strong creative vision with a deep understanding of product, fit, and commercial performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Research and develop seasonal denim trends, washes, fits, and finishes aligned to the Topshop brand DNA
- Design and deliver commercially relevant, fashion-forward denim ranges across categories (jeans, jackets, skirts, etc.)
- Create clear and detailed design packs for development, including CADs, specs, and wash direction
- Work closely with Buying, Technical and Product teams to ensure designs are delivered on time, to margin, and to quality standards
- Drive innovation within denim through fabrication, sustainability, and finishing techniques
- Own fit and silhouette direction, working with technical teams to refine and perfect product
- Analyse trade and performance to inform future design decisions
- Present concepts and collections confidently to internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in denim design, ideally within a fast-paced fashion retailer
- A clear understanding of denim washes, fabrications, and construction
- Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret trends into sellable product
- Strong CAD and Adobe skills
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- A strong point of view on trends and the Topshop customer
