Job Description

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Designer with 3+ years of industry experience to work on our casual jersey department.

You'll have spent time working in a jersey based department or brand, understanding the category and the product from elevated entry price point basics with premium finishing to sweats to washes to graphics and license.

Understanding the mix of customer types within the department from feminine to true casual.

You will support the design direction for our trend collections translating creative design concepts & runway trends into an accessible, high-quality jersey range that our fashion-obsessed community will love.

  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Owning the aesthetic: Supporting the Senior Designer and Head of Design with the design process from initial concept, mood boards, and colour palettes to final product sign-off.
  • Elevating our product: Infuse your jersey expertise into our collections, focusing on fabric sourcing, wash development, techniques and trims and superior fit.
  • Chasing trends: Constantly research global street style, runway shows, and cultural shifts to ensure our jersey range is ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborating across teams: Work hand-in-hand with our Buyers, Merchandisers, and Garment Technologists to bring your vision to life without compromising on quality or pace.
  • Presenting with impact: Pitch your concepts and ranges to senior stakeholders with confidence, clarity, and passion.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

  • An experienced designer: You have a proven track record designing jersey product and understand the spectrum of jersey fabrications with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • An eye for new and emerging trend: You can spot the latest trends building on casual jersey, from catwalk to social media to high street competitors.

You will know how to translate trends from other categories such as denim into jersey; aka the barrel leg jean into a jogger.

  • Perfect eye for graphics and license: You have experience of building inspirational graphic collections. Desireable if you have had experience within license product development.
  • Fabric and fit obsessed: You have an eye for detail and a deep understanding of jersey garment construction.
  • Commercial yet creative: You know how to balance design aesthetic with the commercial reality of what sells online.
  • A fast-paced thinker: You thrive in an environment that moves quickly and can easily pivot when new trends emerge.
  • A digital native: You are highly proficient in Procreate, Photoshop, and the latest AI Digital Design Tools.
