Job Description
As a Senior Designer / Designer, you will report to the Head of Design as part of the Womenswear Design team and be responsible for designing the jewellery range for ASOS DESIGN Womenswear. You will have a collaborative approach, with your finger on the pulse of fashion, cultural references, events and always looking to push the department forward.
What you’ll be doing…
- Developing and designing product ranges
- To research trends and directions for product ranges
- Working closely with Buying teams to range product
- Working with the technical team, advising factories on construction, details and artworks
- Sourcing from the supply base and building relationship with suppliers
- Traveling and researching for directional and comparative trend and product direction
- Reacting to sales information and designing commercially relevant fashion forward ranges
- Sourcing new components and hand-making new samples
- Developing first to market direction pieces to keep us ahead of the competition.
- Work with 3D Printing
- Experience working on Rhino Gold or 3DS Max preferred but not essential.
Qualifications
Who We’d Like to Meet
- Previous experience in designing Jewellery for an aspirational brand or similar High Street retailer
- Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the ASOS Brand and Customer
- Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, CAD
- Self Motivated
- Enthusiastic
- Fashion forward
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels
- Willingness to travel for Supplier meetings and inspirational purposes
