They work closely with the buying teams to plan and build the ranges taking control of stock levels to maximise profit.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the smooth-running day to day of the Merchandising department
  • Forecasting sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets for the department
  • Monitoring the department performance and identifying opportunities, as well as potential risk/loss
  • Working closely with the Buying teams to successfully range plan for the department
  • Participating in trade meetings with Heads of and Directors
  • Evaluating the running of the department, while focusing on lead times and general performance
  • Developing and managing an MA to encourage their development
  • Managing the WSSI and supporting trade plans

Qualifications

  • You’re passionate about fashion, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and understand what our ASOS Design Menwear customer loves.
  • You bring solid merchandising experience, strong commercial awareness, and the confidence to support and own key areas of the business while building great relationships across teams and suppliers.
  • Experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or within a fashion retail Merchandising team
  • Strong understanding of 20‑something culture and the ASOS Design Menwear customer, with trend awareness
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels
  • Experience managing weekly sales, stock, and intake, plus confidence contributing to trade meetings
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills; knowledge of reporting tools is a bonus
