As a Senior Hair Stylist you will work together with your peers to bring to life the ever-evolving ASOS Creative. You’ll be responsible for making sure every model looks and feels ASOS ready throughout their shoot day. The role requires an unflappable, solution focused and hardworking individual with a passion for the brand. You have the ability to successfully be a part of and help support a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset. It is vital that you can work as a role model and are passionate about both hairstyling, makeup and fashion. This role requires proficiency in both hair and makeup artistry, with a stronger emphasis on Hair styling skillset.

Responsibilities
- Reporting directly into the lead hairstylist you will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day running of the hair team
- Produce excellent hair which is true to the ASOS aesthetic and appeals to the ASOS 20-something customer
- Be the go to person for all things hair related
- Be prepared to work to deadlines, ensuring all models are shoot ready and all KPIs are adhered to
- Build relationships and rapport with ASOS models to instil trust in your hair ability and in the wider production department
- Developing your leadership style and communication in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
- Analysis of your own technical hair execution through daily updates and openness to improve these areas under the guidance of the team leader
- Working closely with Leads and Management to deliver the department strategy and build strong relationships with the wider studio team
- Oversee all end of day tasks, ensuring a high standard
- Step up in the absence of the hair manager when needed
- Identify junior team members’ opportunities and provide support
- Regularly support the junior/core team and feed back development areas
- Handle model issues professionally in line with ASOS behaviours policy
- Demonstrate brand awareness by reviewing areas, researching ideas and assessing competition to stay market leaders
- Maintain awareness of current trends from catwalks, influencers, and street styles
- Encourage the team to be authentic, brave and creative and follow company strategies
- Collaborate with the model team to maximise each model’s potential and create the best ASOS shoot experience
- Work with the wider shoot team to solve on-set issues and facilitate a smooth process
- Capable of producing, developing and executing looks for varied shoots
- Carry out daily administrative tasks and shoot preparation
- Deliver projects to support department strategy and other tasks defined by Hair Manager
- Support Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies
Qualifications
- Previous professional hair session styling is essential
- Previous fashion e-commerce experience is essential
- Experience with all hair texture types including basic experience in wigs, weaves and extensions
- Methodical, accurate and highly organized approach with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and think on their feet
- Assertive and forward thinking
- Can-do attitude and high level of efficiency
- Unflappable in a fast-paced environment
- High energy, enthusiasm and strong team player
- Skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, InDesign, Sitecore and general PC/MAC proficiency
