This role is an opportunity to shape and scale the Product operating model at ASOS, with a clear focus on improving how work gets done across Product teams (which includes Buying, Merchandising, Sourcing) through process optimisation, operational structuring and workflow redesign. Sitting within the Product Strategy & Operations team, the role will partner closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology and Operations to identify inefficiencies, simplify ways of working and drive measurable improvements in speed, productivity and decision‑making across the product lifecycle.
This role will focus on driving operational excellence within Product through a combination of process redesign, workflow optimisation and the practical application of automation and agentic AI solutions. The aim is to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort and enable more intelligent, scalable ways of working across the product lifecycle. This is a hands‑on transformation role, combining structured problem solving, operational design and delivery. You will define improved ways of working, translate them into practical implementation plans and drive adoption across teams to deliver tangible business impact.
Operational Transformation & Process Design- Partner with Product and Operations stakeholders to map current workflows, diagnose inefficiencies and identify opportunities to improve ways of working.
- Lead structured sessions to redesign processes across key areas such as product development, planning, intake and execution.
- Simplify and standardise workflows to improve speed, transparency and cross‑functional alignment.
- Define clear operating models, roles and responsibilities across Product teams.
- Identify organisational and process pre‑requisites required to enable sustainable improvements.
- Translate operational challenges into clear, actionable transformation initiatives.
- Develop short, medium and long‑term roadmaps with clear milestones, ownership and success metrics.
- Prioritise initiatives based on business impact, scalability and implementation feasibility.
- Build business cases and define KPIs to track progress and outcomes.
- Drive end‑to‑end implementation of process and operational changes across Product teams.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination to ensure successful rollout of new ways of working.
- Establish governance, tracking and reporting frameworks to monitor impact.
- Partner with enablement teams to support adoption through training, documentation and change management.
- Continuously iterate on processes based on performance data and feedback.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through workflow improvements, automation and better tooling.
- Prototype lightweight solutions, including AI‑enabled workflows or agents where relevant, to validate improvements before scaling.
- Introduce practical, scalable ways to improve team productivity and decision‑making through smarter workflows.
- Significant experience in product operations, consulting or transformation roles within fast‑paced, technology‑driven environments.
- Experience building automations and AI‑enabled workflows (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, low‑code tools, LLM APIs) to solve day‑to‑day operational problems.
- Degree in Computer Science or Advanced Analytics.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing operational improvements, not just defining strategy.
- Strong operational and systems thinking, with the ability to simplify complex processes and improve execution.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear plans, deliverables and outcomes.
- Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and driving change across multiple stakeholders.
- Highly structured and pragmatic, with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.
- A builder mindset, with a bias towards identifying inefficiencies and creating practical solutions to improve team productivity.
