As an Engineering Lead, you will play a dual role in shaping both the technology we build and the people who build it. You will be hands‑on with technology, contributing to architecture, design and the technical roadmap, while also leading and developing your team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead and be accountable for the team across all stages of the SDLC, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance. Contribute to coding, code reviews, testing and solving challenging technical problems. Own technical delivery, timelines, quality standards and best‑practice adherence. Guide the team through agile practices, planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve.
- People Management: Manage a team of six to eight engineers, focusing on growth, feedback, and career advancement. Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages diverse perspectives. Set clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching. Assist with people planning, recruitment and smooth onboarding of new hires.
- Collaboration with Product Management: Align on product vision, requirements and priorities, translating goals into actionable tasks. Co‑lead planning, agile ceremonies and other key activities to balance technical and business perspectives. Deliver value to customers by aligning engineering work with strategic business goals.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with designers, applied scientists, QA engineers and other stakeholders to build high‑performing products. Serve as a technical representative in product discussions, communicating progress and challenges to senior management. Collaborate with other engineering leaders to maintain overall architecture, quality, security and data standards.
