Job Description

The group FP&A team owns our core finance processes, including monthly board reporting, budgeting and forecasting, whilst also providing business partnering and support to the CFO and wider management committee on strategic projects. Across the function a lot of our existing reporting is currently manual and relies heavily on Microsoft Excel. We’re looking to recruit an experienced PowerBI Developer to lead a shift to a more automated, self‑service reporting model, transitioning manual workflows to PowerBI. This will include our core management information outputs as well as wider reporting across the function, helping to drive increased impact across the team – with more time spent on value‑add and less on manual processes.

We use Microsoft Dynamics as our finance ERP and the data platform currently uses a mixture of Azure SQL and Power BI, so we’re looking for someone who has existing experience in these technologies. The role will work closely with the FP&A team and the wider finance function and will need to have a strong understanding of what good looks like in financial reporting and management information.

The Details

  • Manage the design and development of Finance Power BI reports, engaging with key stakeholders to understand and translate business needs/reporting requirements
  • Work with other reporting teams across ASOS to understand best‑practice, to apply to Finance
  • Design and develop reports and reconciliations with modern approaches
  • Build successful relationships with Finance, IT and the wider business, continuously managing stakeholder expectations
  • Monitor the performance of reports and recommend improvements
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies

Client Collaboration

We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That’s why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It’s a rhythm that speeds up decision‑making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.

  • Displays sense of urgency, focused on achievement of deliverables to the highest quality in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience in Finance or Accounting reporting
