As the Lead Analyst for Trade, you will be supporting the Commercial Trading teams and play a significant role in understanding and informing business performance, championing the use of advanced analytics methods within the team, and leading on insight deliverables for ASOS Operating Board.

The Details

  • Generating insight that gives a well-rounded view of sales drivers with analysis on retail product and stock, marketing channels and promotions, customer metrics and market intelligence to support business’ understanding of short and mid-term performance.
  • Working with Regional Trade Managers, Heads of Trade, and senior leadership within Commercial and Trading functions to bring insight and recommendations to ASOS Commercial Committee and other relevant trade forums, that will enable nimble and insight-led decision-making.
  • Working with commercial trading teams to understand sales drivers at division and category level, and identifying relevant levers at hand to ensure we meet financial targets.
  • Working with the Returns teams to generate product and customer behaviour analysis which will be used to educate commercial trading teams and drive improvements in returns rates.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Trade and Experience to generate insights that seek to educate the business on the impact that onsite customer behaviours and visual merchandising actions can have on trading KPI’s.
  • Support the Trading senior leadership to develop and prioritise a roadmap of relevant, strategic insight.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Insight team members, as well as stakeholders, to ensure the recommendations we deliver to the business are aligned and informed with commercial background.
  • Challenging existing analysis processes to improve efficiencies, and challenging analytical methodologies to improve accuracy of insights and maintain a focus on keeping the business and team at the forefront of analytics approaches.
  • Mentor junior members of the team to ensure their continual development.
  • Champion retail data and insight across the wider insight team, ensuring correct methods and metrics are used.
  • Support wider insight team with advanced analytics deliverables and/or training and oversight, as relevant.
  • Work closely with the AI team to ensure knowledge and capability sharing, as relevant.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a digital analytics role focusing on retail insight, preferably within the e-commerce space.
  • Highly numerate and strong attention to detail.
  • Passion for problem-solving.
  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for sharing ideas and driving them forward.
  • Able to communicate information clearly and concisely.
  • Good project management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities as needed.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong web analytics skills (Adobe, Google Analytics).
  • Regression analysis/statistical modelling.
