Producers at ASOS are highly organised, efficient, future leadership figures, who have an eye for fashion, photography and seamless operations. You will support department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best e-commerce assets in the industry for our 20‑something customer. The Producer works closely with the Stylist, Photographer, H&M and model to creatively and logistically produce the Shoot. From pre‑production, to the shoot and all the way through Post Production, the Producer will deliver industry‑leading imagery to the ASOS website. They are the central point of contact, responsible and accountable for the successful execution and delivery of shoots.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Reporting into Senior Producer, you will have an overarching responsibility for the whole shoot, so you will have in‑depth knowledge of the creative brief including but not limited to photography, styling, H&M, model, retouch, composition, shoot pace, targets and quality control.
  • Completing an average of 75% of your shoot through to ‘Ready for Live’ by the end of the day, ensuring the remaining 25% is complete or has been dealt with appropriately the following morning.
  • Comfortable and confident in addressing issues with shoot teams, troubleshooting to ensure the shoot gets back on track to the highest standards.
  • Deliver every shoot to agreed start and finish times, meeting your set target and hitting (if not exceeding) creative benchmarks.
  • Reviewing final images once they have gone through Post Production to ensure retouch, lighting, shot selection, main image and video all show the product off to highest agreed standards.
  • Have a strong awareness of Corporate Responsibility and Legal requirements to ensure products or imagery reflects ASOS values.
  • Curating a shoot preview at the end of each day to share with the department, illustrating your authentic on‑brand shoot.
  • Pre‑planning your creative brief and schedule for the day and then leading your Shoot Briefing with the Team to clearly set the expectation of the day – whether a BAU shoot or bespoke brief.
  • This includes but is not limited to: Highlight groupings of product, model family, end‑use to your team; Review models previous shoots and Instagram to plan shoot direction; Pull additional references for general vibe, posing and influence; Pre‑plan any H&M changes required to fit in at the most suitable point of the shoot; Tackle any shoot list issues and resolve with Shoot Operations; Check in to see any reasons for flagged reshoots to ensure reshoot imagery is correct.
  • Collaborating with the Seniors to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure shoots guides are followed and provide clarity for shoot teams in a timely manner.
  • Check description of each SKU matches the product being shot and meets styling guidelines.
  • Maintain customer engagement and excitement by identifying benchmark imagery and selecting the strongest, most product‑focused shot to be main on the website.
  • Demonstrating and maintaining a professional presence in and around the business.
  • Maintain a professional, organised and productive working environment.
  • Supporting the team in following established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy.
  • Working with the Seniors and Lead to support the training and development of new full‑timers and freelance.
  • Developing your creative knowledge to keep shoots relevant and aspirational – always up to date on our customers, with a strong overview of fashion, social media and general trends.
  • Support Seniors when required with deployment of full‑time and freelance team resource to optimise the collective team skill set including support of the day‑to‑day management in response to absence.
  • Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and to follow all company and departmental strategies, leading by example.
  • Engaging in training and development initiatives always projecting the ASOS behaviours policy.
  • Working closely with your Seniors, Leads and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy.
  • Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team.
  • Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition when required to ensure we are market leaders.
  • Following the ASOS photography guide to ensure product is shot consistently across all shoot functions.
  • Support new workflow solutions to streamline departmental practices and processes.
  • Contribute to departmental technology software and hardware launches when required.
  • Contributing to team and departmental meetings.
  • Always championing ASOS ABC’s and behaviours, demonstrating excellent brand awareness.
  • Delivering projects to support the department strategy and any other ad‑hoc tasks defined by the Lead Producer and Studio Manager.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in the industry at Producer / Fashion E‑commerce level.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑orientated and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent organisation and time management to ensure the studio targets are achieved.
  • The ability to stay calm, professional and positive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • The confidence to produce and direct a shoot team.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of catwalk and street style trends, with the ability to apply these to your shoots.
  • The ability to rapidly adapt to change quickly and effectively, embracing ASOS Studio culture.
  • Team player qualities who are eager to learn and can grasp new information quickly.
  • Knowledge of Capture One.
