This role sits within the Supply Chain Finance team and is focused on supporting the Head of Finance with all areas within Supply Chain: Inbound, Warehouse, Delivery Solutions, and Customer Write-Offs. The role will have responsibility for the consolidated view of Supply Chain Finance, ensuring each area is reporting accurate and timely numbers, with variances fully explained down to the core operational drivers so that the true underlying performance is presented. Further to this, the role holder must ensure sufficient challenge/action plans are in place where needed and support the pursuit of opportunities highlighted.
With a focus on continual improvement, this role will identify ways to further streamline and automate activities/reporting within Supply Chain, freeing up the team to focus on reviewing results and adding value to the operation/wider Finance functions.
Responsibilities- Supporting the team, to ensure the business fully understands our financial performance and has the insights and support needed for decision making and optimisation.
- Working with other Finance teams to align commercial strategy with Supply Chain activities.
- Collaborating with the Supply Chain Finance team to produce timely and accurate month end packs, including detailed P&Ls for each Supply Chain area with key operational drivers of performance explained, and full year projections based on the latest trading performance.
- Managing common activities across the various Supply Chain areas, including cash forecasting.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles to ensure that commercial and Supply Chain strategies are reflected in forward projections, and that the business has an accurate understanding of the relevant P&L lines.
- Experienced qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/Equivalent).
- Proven experience in FP&A within a fast‐paced, commercial environment.
- Strong background in producing and owning management accounts.
- Demonstrated experience managing a P&L, with a clear understanding of key business drivers.
- Experience working with complex data sets.
- Experience in producing high‐quality analysis and reporting.
- Experience of influencing and managing stakeholders.
- Team player who works for the success of the wider team.
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment, adapt to change and deal with high volumes of information.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
