Commercial Finance partners the following business teams: Sales, Marketing, Product, Stock and Supply Chain. We are part of a cross functional Finance team who also partner with FP&A, Financial Control, Tax, Treasury and Accounting to ensure visibility and ownership of the numbers by the business.

This role sits within Supply Chain Finance and will be the Finance Analyst to the Inbound and Distribution teams, providing insight, financial support, owning the financial reporting and most importantly challenging the operation. In addition to supporting with the monthly actuals, forecasting and budgeting; the role will work on change and transformation projects that allow us to operate more efficiently and continuously improve our overall cost.

The Details

  • Business partnering and supporting relevant supply chain leaders to ensure they have the information they need to make effective decisions.
  • Working with and challenging external supply chain partners to ensure they have the information and tools needed; whilst engaging with procurement to optimise our commercial relationships and provide the increased value.
  • Working with other finance teams to increase the alignment between supply chain and other areas.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis across relevant areas, utilising a range of data sources to model scenarios and allow stakeholders to make effective, data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate projects to optimise income and costs in relevant areas – ensuring short and long term profit goals are met.
  • Managing P&L for relevant areas ensuring reported results are accurate and complete.
  • Leading forecasting processes to ensure the business has an accurate understanding of the relevant P&L lines, ensuring commercial and supply chain strategies are reflected in forward projections.
  • Working with change and transformation team and stakeholders across the business to deliver improvements to processes and data-flows; improving accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Desire to gain a recognised accountancy qualification, or part qualified and in process of completing studies (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/Equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Finance Analyst.
  • Experience of working with complex data sets and performing scenario planning and modelling.
  • Experience in producing high-quality analysis and reporting.
  • Experience of influencing and managing stakeholders.
  • Team player who works for the success of the wider team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change and deal with high volumes of information.
  • Flexible with the ability to identify opportunities and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability.
