The role sits in the Customer Experience team and focuses on the Android application used by millions of shoppers.
- What you’ll be doing
- Deliver high-quality Android projects using best practices within cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with design to implement clean, platform-respecting UI.
- Work in an agile environment, taking ownership of features from planning to delivery.
- Take a proactive and hands-on approach across all features and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of the Android app with ongoing improvements and features.
- Ensure app stability and performance, aiming for high ratings and crash-free sessions.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to iterate on product requirements.
Qualifications
- Passionate mid-level Android developer with strong Kotlin skills.
- Extremely comfortable with Kotlin and able to apply reactive programming techniques.
- Experience with modern Android architecture and Jetpack components (Kotlin Coroutines, Flow/State Flow).
- Familiarity with Hilt dependency injection.
- Ability to contribute to technical architecture and design discussions.
- Belief that code should be unit/UI tested to avoid legacy code.
- Experience with agile/scrum in small, cross-functional, feature-focused teams.
- Ability to take ownership of large pieces of work from planning through delivery.
- Contribute to the wider Android community (e. g., blog posts, open-source projects, talks).
- Nice-to-have / Tech interests
- Interest in exploring technologies like Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM), Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with modularised codebases and best coding practices.
