The ASOS Merchandising team ensures that we have the right products, at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantities. They work closely with the buying teams to plan and build the ranges taking control of stock levels to maximise profit.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the smooth-running day‑to‑day of the Merchandising department.
- Forecast sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets for the department.
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities, as well as potential risk/loss.
- Work closely with the Buying teams to successfully range plan for the department.
- Participate in trade meetings with Heads of and Directors.
- Evaluate the running of the department, whilst focusing on lead times and general performance.
- Develop and manage an MA to encourage their development.
- Manage the WSSI and support trade plans.
Qualifications
- You are passionate about fashion, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and understand what our 20‑something TOPSHOP/TOPMAN customer loves.
- You bring solid merchandising experience, strong commercial awareness, and the confidence to support and own key areas of the business while building great relationships across teams and suppliers.
- Experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or within a fashion retail Merchandising team.
- Strong understanding of 20‑something culture and the TOPSHOP/TOPMAN customer, with trend awareness.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
- Experience managing weekly sales, stock, and intake, plus confidence contributing to trade meetings.
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of reporting tools is a plus.
