Job Description
What you'll be doing...
- Assist in driving business initiatives related to ZDHC compliance.
Mapping and tracking the wet facilities chemical input and water stewardship.
Driving better safer chemistry and working on the circularity project.
Providing ZDHC program reporting.
- Support the delivery of chemical compliance, and animal welfare training programs for ASOS employees, Suppliers and 3rd Party Brands, emphasising the importance of chemical management and supply chain traceability.
- Implement the ASOS ACCT program, with managing the auditing.
- Assist in the fabric team ACFT supplier auditing and reporting.
- Assist in overseeing the chemical surveillance program, ensuring suppliers and 3rd Party Brands are appropriately monitored and benchmarked by risk.
- Lead and maintain the due diligence risk assessments. Communicate summaries of compliance to key stake holders and providing guidance for corrective actions to the suppliers.
- Collaborate with retail teams to develop and execute short-term corrective action plans in response to supplier failures.
- Assist mapping of animal materials with monitoring & maintaining trackers. Undertaking competitive research analyst.
- Assist the fabric team on brand collaboration fabric testing and project reporting.
- Lead weekly Proposition 65, due diligence and fabric material reporting to support compliance monitoring, regulatory assessments, and risk management activities.
- Produce audit-ready data & documentation to support internal governance and external reporting requirements
- Support reporting to external bodies including Textile Genesis/ GCS.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases, trackers and critical paths.
- Help review legislation and assess risks associated with new business opportunities in chemical compliance and labelling.
- Assist with maintaining policies, procedures and internal guidance documents
- Support retail teams on compliance questions within chemical and animal materials.
- As part of wider technical team, you are required to support the team in product related tasks on fabric and sustainability as and when required.
Qualifications
Who we'd like to meet...
- Experience working in fashion, retail or sustainability preferred but not compulsory
• Understanding of
- Relevant regulations and compliance standards (e. g., ZDHC, REACH, Prop 65,).
- Materials standards and certification – Textile Exchange, GCS.
- Supply chains and manufacturing processes
- Excellent organisational skills, highly detail focused and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Confident working with data and automation with good understanding of Microsoft Office programmes including Excel
- Clear, confident communication skills, building positive relationships and collaborating with ease
- Comfortable working independently but love being part of a supportive, collaborative team culture
