ASOgency is an App Store Optimization agency with a startup mentality, trusted by some of the fastest-growing and largest apps in the world. We offer a unique subscription-based ASO service that covers everything from keyword optimization to screenshot design. Slack is our office, and our team works from all parts of the world: Dubai, Madrid, São Paulo, Brussels, and so on.
We're an agency, but we work like a startup. We don't just deliver reports and assets, we integrate ourselves directly into our clients' teams as their dedicated ASO partner. We think and act like an extension of their growth team: proactive, accountable, and obsessed with results. And we're growing fast. The demand for our service is outpacing our capacity, but we refuse to compromise on quality. That's why we need you.
This is a remote contract/part-time position that can quickly lead to a full-time role. Most of our clients are in the U.S., but as our team is spread across the world we encourage you to apply regardless of where you are from.
As an ASO Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive measurable growth for mobile apps through expert App Store Optimization. You'll own the full ASO strategy for clients: conducting in-depth audits, performing keyword research and metadata optimization, analyzing performance data, and identifying opportunities to boost visibility, conversion rates, and organic downloads on the App Store and Google Play.
You'll work closely with our ASO Designers to translate strategy into high-impact visuals (screenshots, Custom Product Pages, icons, etc.) that stop users from scrolling and convert into downloads. You'll bring your own strategic perspective, proactively propose bold ideas and experiments, and collaborate to turn data-driven insights into real results.
We value ASO Managers with strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of store algorithms, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt strategies across different app categories, audiences, and markets. While ASO strategy is your core focus, you may also contribute to broader growth initiatives while working with clients, such as paid ads, in-app growth initiatives, and more.
This is a very dynamic role as we always go above and beyond for our clients. The role is also task-based, not hourly, giving you real ownership over your work and client outcomes. We're not looking for an aspiring or junior ASO Manager—we're looking for an expert comfortable with their strategies directly impacting millions of potential downloads every week.
Qualifications:
- Proficient English, more languages are a plus.
- Proven work history in an app team or at an agency providing ASO services, single-handedly having managed an app's ASO is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of App Store Optimization (ASO), with deep knowledge of how metadata and creative changes impact visibility and conversion.
- Strong analytical skills: data-driven decision-making, A/B testing of creatives, performance reporting, and ROI measurement.
- Great communication and project management skills, and ability to work independently while aligning with client goals.
- Ability to leverage AI apps, app intelligence platforms, and design tools like Figma to improve the quality of your work—or a strong willingness to learn how to do it.
If you obsess over why certain apps dominate the charts while others stay invisible, and you're confident your expertise can move apps up the rankings, this ASO Manager role was made for you.
