Location: UK – Hybrid with on-site responsibilities

Department: Energy & Infrastructure Deployment

Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Head of DC Delivery to lead the end-to-end delivery of modular data centre builds across the UK.

You’ll oversee all phases of construction — from civil works and power access to modular installation and internal fit-out.

This is a senior, highly visible position requiring deep technical understanding, strong on-site leadership, and excellent supplier management. You’ll work closely with contractors, engineering consultancies, utilities providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to spec — with a strong focus on quality, resilience, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Construction Oversight

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of modular data centre builds across the UK
  • Oversee groundworks, civils, modular installation, and internal technical fit-out
  • Coordinate planning and sequencing with design & engineering partners
  • Monitor on-site progress and resolve blockers to avoid delays

Power & Utility Access

  • Engage with DNOs, ICPs, and energy consultants to secure timely grid connections
  • Track capacity requirements and availability across sites
  • Ensure redundancy, backup power, and resilience are built into all plans

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Manage multiple contractors and specialist vendors across MEP, construction, cabling, and commissioning
  • Define scopes of work, hold suppliers to SLAs, and ensure quality delivery
  • Oversee on-site health & safety and ensure full CDM compliance

Fit-Out & Technical Integration

  • Oversee installation of racks, cooling, power distribution, fire suppression, and security systems
  • Coordinate with IT and operations teams for readiness and go-live
  • Ensure seamless integration between modular units and local infrastructure

Programme & Budget Ownership

  • Maintain full visibility of schedules, costs, and risks
  • Report progress to senior leadership and proactively flag issues
  • Own the critical path and ensure smooth handover to operations teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience delivering mission-critical infrastructure or modular data centres
  • Strong background in construction project management, M&E, or infrastructure delivery
  • Knowledge of UK utilities and power systems, including DNO and ICP processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills — from boardroom to site
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors and vendors
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and construction H&S compliance
  • Results-driven, solutions-oriented, and comfortable with field-based, multi-site work
