Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centre Services
Location: Remote / UK Based
Our client is a scaling Global Data Center Services company that delivers a new operating model that is agile, resilient and scalable. Their unique operating model is more cost effective, more resilient and strategically advantageous. They delivers world class services to the fastest growing data center companies in the industry.
They are a client-focused business within the critical infrastructure sector, providing a wide range of services, including project management, design, consultancy, client representation, and validation.
They seek an innovative Electrical Design Engineer who understands data centre infrastructure and can implement international critical infrastructure trends and technologies.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and prepare technical performance specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules and reports.
- Decide on an approach to fulfilling the customer needs as appropriate.
- Undertake discrimination, selectivity and cable selection.
- Design and selection of electrical components and systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Creatively develop performance, quality, tendering and Client documents
- Developing cost plans and timelines.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering field or undertaken an Electrical Design served apprenticeship.
- Developed and prepared designs, client briefs and performance-related documentation
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems
- Working knowledge of electrical power components and their operation and configuration
- Working knowledge of LV Electrical circuit arrangements, calculation and selection of protection systems, cables and distribution.
- Drafting capabilities, hand-drawn and CAD
