Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HRBP to join the UK HR team. This role will be a pivotal role within the HR team and will operate as a strategic HR partner to the business.
We are looking for a strategic and commercially focussed HR partner to has experience with working with a range of departments. You will work in close collaboration with the Head of HR, HR Operations & Reward Partner, the Talent, Development and Recruitment Partner, and the wider HR team to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality HR support that aligns with both business and HR objectives.
The role will be hybrid, with the majority of time based at our head office in Bordon, Hampshire but with the option to work from home 1-2 days per week. If you have a passion for games then that's a bonus!
What does this role Involve
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for driving the HR plan in conjunction with the Head of HR to deliver against agreed HR budget.
- Management responsibility for the HR Advisor.
- Deputising for Head of HR as required and partnering with the UK leadership and management team.
Strategic Partnership & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on HR related matters including organisational design, workforce planning, engagement, employee relation and other key areas.
- Partner with leaders to translate business needs into targeted HR initiatives that support growth and scalability.
- Influence decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Talent & Performance Management
- Working in partnership with the Talent, Development and Recruitment Business Partner to carry out talent reviews, succession planning, and development initiatives for designated departments.
- Coach managers on performance management best practices, including goal-setting, feedback, and performance improvement.
- Identify high-potential employees and support career pathing and development programs.
- Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to improve the business operating model.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Resolve complex employee relations matters in partnership with managers and wider HR team.
- Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with the company behaviours.
- Develop and implement engagement strategies that improve retention, morale, and employee experience.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support company-wide engagement initiatives, pulse surveys, and action planning.
- Contribute to diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives through targeted learning and development programs.
- Strengthen employee experience through career development programs and recognition initiatives.
Change Management & Organisational Development
- Support organisational changes, restructures, and transformation initiatives with effective communication, planning, and coaching.
- Assess team effectiveness and recommend interventions to improve collaboration, productivity, and leadership capability.
- Facilitate team workshops or training sessions as needed.
HR projects
- Lead on a number of key HR projects both from a UK perspective and in support of Global HR initiatives.
- Engage the wider business and key stakeholders to ensure support for key HR initiatives such as the yearly engagement survey.
What are we looking for
Education & Skills
- Degree educated – Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (essential)
- Holds Coaching qualification (desirable)
- Insights or other profiling assessment trainer qualified (desirable)
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner and who has partnered with senior level stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven experience coaching leaders and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience with organisational design, leadership development, or change management.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in navigating complex employee relations issues.
- Strong MS Office experience including PowerPoint and Excel.
