Job Summary

This role will be focussed on developing the data & analytics strategy to drive marketing effectiveness and business growth.

The individual will act as a consultant to the leadership and senior management teams around data, market research, KPIs and measurement.

This role will lead market research around consumer and customer insights to ensure that our commercial initiatives are tailored to delivering business growth in the UK market.

Please note, applications will close on 17 July. This role is a fixed term maternity cover contract for approx. 12 months, with an expected start date of 1 September 2026.

  • Ensure the interests of consumers, customers and the business are understood and represented through fair, insight‑driven analysis.
  • Lead complex data analysis to support strategic decision making and service improvement.
  • Set direction of data & insights approach and deliver on‑time & on‑budget.
  • Foster a culture of data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bringing deep subject matter expertise, staying current with best practices, and supporting complex delivery planning.
  • Develop measurement methodology to ensure our marketing efforts map back to concrete business results which deliver the strategy.

As examples, this includes attribution and ROI measurement of marketing activities.

  • Enable informed, strategic decision‑making with timely and relevant insights.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and actionable insight.
  • Support business growth by driving customer and colleague understanding through analysis of behaviours, touchpoints, and journeys.
  • Champion best approaches for use of AI in market research, data analysis and reporting; bringing in practices from the wider market research industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver actionable insight across performance, trends and key metrics across the industry to highlight growth opportunities, support decision‑making and reduce risk.
  • Design KPI frameworks, performance scorecards, and benefits‑realisation measures to track and communicate marketing investment impact.
  • Architect high‑quality datasets, dashboards, and visualisation standards aligned to business needs.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams to understand their information needs and provide tailored insights; encouraging the use of tools such as AI bots to encourage deeper strategic thinking in situation analysis.
  • Construct research & testing frameworks to steer commercial decisions; through in‑house and agency execution.

Covering survey‑writing, qualitative interviews, focus groups, and other relevant research practices.

  • Any other reasonable requests as asked by the line manager or Marketing Director.
  • What are we looking for

Essential

  • Strong expertise in Power BI (including DAX) and dashboard design best practice – 5+ years’ experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools.
  • Comfortable operating in a developing data environment, able to work effectively with evolving data and varying levels of data maturity while helping shape more robust, scalable solutions.
  • Experience & desire to work with a good level of autonomy.
  • Experience working with external agencies.
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible to travel in UK if required.
  • Previous experience in a data analytics or data‑focused marketing position including insight generation.
  • Proven ability to own end‑to‑end analytical workflows, from data extraction to insight delivery.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, ideally with experience with marketing data
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to non‑technical audiences and senior stakeholders.
  • Optimistic and solutions‑focused in the face of ambiguity, good analytical questioning mind with a focus on continual improvement vs perfection and problem solving.

  • Degree/Qualification in Marketing or related field.
