As a Junior Production Engineer, you will support the maintenance, preparation, repair, and continuous improvement of Advanté Oasis units within our production and service centres.
Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will develop your technical skills while helping to ensure our units are prepared to the highest quality and safety standards.
This is a hands-on role that combines practical engineering, fault finding, production support, and process improvement.
You may also be required to visit customer sites to assist with maintenance and repair work, so a valid full UK driving licence is essential.
A company vehicle will be provided when travelling on company business.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your day-to-day activities will be directed by your Service Centre Supervisor.

- YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the maintenance, servicing, repair, and refurbishment of Advanté Oasis units.
- Support fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Carry out inspections of mechanical, electrical, water, and locking systems.
- Assist with upgrading and modifying units in line with engineering programmes and production requirements.
- Undertake general engineering and maintenance activities including painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, and floor repairs where required.
- Prepare units for customer delivery by ensuring quality, safety, and functionality standards are met.
- Travel to customer sites to support maintenance and repair work when required.
- Complete production documentation, service records, timesheets, vehicle checks, and stock records accurately.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, including correct waste disposal.
- Liaise with engineers, technicians, supervisors, and other departments to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies, RAMS, and PPE requirements at all times.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve production processes.
- Attend training courses, toolbox talks, and supplier training to develop your engineering knowledge and skills.
- Undertake any additional duties appropriate to your level of experience and training.

You'll ideally have
- A genuine interest in mechanical or production engineering.
- Some practical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, or technical experience (through employment, apprenticeship, college, or personal projects).
- A basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A willingness to learn new skills and undertake vocational training.
- A flexible approach to work and occasional travel between service centres and customer sites.
- A valid full UK driving licence.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, or general maintenance.
- Familiarity with pumps, gearboxes, mechanical plant, or industrial equipment.
- Experience within a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
Following a successful probation period, you'll be supported in working towards industry-recognised qualifications, including CCLP1 (LPG Core Safety) or CCN1 (Domestic Gas Core Safety), and a Level 2 MBPA qualification, as part of your ongoing professional development.
