The purpose of this role is to undertake service calls at customer sites to diagnose & repair internal & external faults and to provide Facilities Management (testing services) to our customers. You will report to the Service Support Manager with daily service call schedules planned by the Project Support Team. Where there are no planned maintenance calls you will be required to work in the Service Centre or on installation projects. The role is Service Centre based, with a van available to allow travel to and from customer sites.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Health, Safety, and Environmental
- Manage health, safety, and environmental compliance, including incident reporting and safety observations.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company safety policies, ‘Five Basic Behaviours,’ and ‘Life Saving Rules.’
- Promptly report all health, safety, and environmental issues to mitigate risks to colleagues, visitors, suppliers, and customers.
- Maintenance Service Calls
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and building fabric repairs.
- Adhere to all RAMS, SSOW, SOPs, and safety standards during daily tasks.
- Facilities Management Service Calls
- Handle FM service calls like PAT testing, HVAC, and fire extinguisher checks, along with installing value‑adding products at customer sites.
- Technical Expertise
- Possess electrical qualifications and certifications for FM testing. Algeco supports gaining further required certifications.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all work meets regulatory, quality, and customer standards.
- Stock & Equipment Control
- Use and manage stock efficiently, maintaining van stock levels for effective service.
- IT Skills
- Basic IT skills for using a PDA to manage daily tasks, record service calls, and communicate with customers.
- Communication Skills
- Represent Algeco professionally, promoting company values while working at customer sites.
