Purpose: As a Logistics Relief Driver, you will be a vital asset within one of our six regions, stepping in to cover vacancies, holidays, training, and other absences among our branch lorry loader and tanker drivers. This dynamic role offers variety and will require flexibility, including nights away and weekend travel depending on the assignment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our fleet, transporting modular structures and temporary storage & accommodation units using our fleet of over 70 lorry loader cranes. Additionally, you will contribute to our Tanker team, servicing our customers' welfare needs and ensuring continuous operational efficiency. Although this is a relief role covering sickness and holiday, it comes with a guaranteed 45 hours’ pay per week.

Responsibilities within your team:
- Deliver our products and services to our customers on time, in full (OTIF), effectively reporting any issues as they arise.
- Adhere to planned routes / movement orders.
- Optimise loading and unloading times to ensure all work is completed.
- Ensure any requirements for moving abnormal loads are always met.
- Operate a lorry loader crane in varying environments and conditions.
- Work within our Tanker team executing customer service calls.
- Complete the relevant safety checks on the vehicle and equipment you’ve been allocated, reporting any issues immediately, ensuring fleet and safety compliance.
- Adhere to EU driving hours and Working Times Regulations (WTD) at all times, targeting zero infringements.
What We Need From You:
- Valid Class 1 HGV Driving Licence, with DCPC preferred, Class 2 considered with at least 1 years’ experience.
- Previous experience in operating a lorry loader crane from 31 tonne and above/up to 66 tonnes.
- Previous experience operating a wagon and drag combination.
- Previous tanker / waste management experience, desired, but not essential, as training will be provided.
- CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification.
- Demonstrate flexibility, as appointments may require you to be away from home throughout the working week, driving all types of vehicles at any of our locations. These appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.
