Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Full lift training will be provided for successful candidates. Please note a learner agreement will be in place to cover the cost of training.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to undertake installation and de-installation of Algeco units and associated equipment, supervise and co-ordinate lifting operations on site, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies. Your direct line reporting will be to the Install Manager, but you will also report to Project Managers for the duration of a project. Projects and schedules will be planned by the Install Manager supported by the Project Support Co-ordinators in conjunction with the Project Manager. Where there is no scheduled Installation, you will be required to cover maintenance tasks or work in the Service Centre.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Health, Safety and Environmental: Responsible for health and safety and environmental-related matters, including compliance with safety policy, incident reporting, safety walks and observations. Demonstrate safe working practices, complying with company policy and legal requirements. Ensure all activities align to the company’s ‘Five Basic Behaviours’ and ‘Our Life Saving Rules.’ Proactive and timely reporting of all health, safety, and environmental issues to ensure prompt action and mitigation of risk to colleagues, visitors, suppliers, and customers.
  • You will undertake the installation and de-installation of Algeco products and any associated equipment in line with Algeco standard project management methodology. You will be required as part of your day to day working to comply with all risk assessments & method statements (RAMS), safe systems of work (SSOW), standard operating procedures (SOPs), local safety standards and equipment specific safety instructions/requirements.
  • You will execute the Project plan under the guidance of Project Manager. You will be responsible for the handover to the customer once the work has been completed and obtaining sign off to confirm the project is complete and ready for use. You will be required to assess units prior to collection to determine any damages, documenting these and getting this confirmed and signed by the customer.
  • Quality Assurance: You will continuously check your work to ensure it meets all applicable regulatory standards, Algeco quality standards and is in line with customer requirements.
  • Stock & Equipment Control: You will be responsible for the correct use of stock and equipment and for ensuring, wherever possible, that you have the correct parts and equipment. You will maintain van stock holdings at the defined levels, in line with the standard operating procedure.
  • IT Skills: Basic IT skills are required as the role requires use of a PDA to record the daily work plans and to communicate back to our customers (including invoicing charges). Training on the use of existing and future systems will be provided.
  • Communication Skills: You will represent Algeco whilst working at customer sites. You will be required to always act in a professional manner, courteously and in a way that promotes Algeco’s values.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • CSCS Card - NVQ Level 2 Blue Skilled Worker.
  • ECS, IPAF and or PASMA.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Lift Supervisor preferred but not essential - training will be provided.
