The role of Production Engineer involves the general and specific maintenance, preparation and repair of units whilst in our service centre. The activities range from general maintenance to specific work requirements developed from service worksheets and off-hire reports and in accordance with the Production process and training.
At times you may be required to attend client sites as directed to undertake on site works so a valid driving licence for cars and light vans is required. On these occasions a service van will be provided by the Company.
Other responsibilities include:
- General maintenance and housekeeping of the service centre and offices
- Correct disposal into skips of waste materials in accordance with material type
- Receiving stock deliveries and providing/receiving all necessary documentation when required
- Delivery drivers collecting/returning units
- General duties that may be assigned to them
You must be willing to travel when required. Ultimately you will report to the Production Manager but on a day-to-day basis you will be directed by the service centre supervisor.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain safe working practices in accordance with Advanté Health & Safety policy and RAMS, and adhere to the correct use of PPE at all times
- When working in our depot/yards considering all actions detailed within the production process
- Inspection, servicing and maintenance of gas installations
- Servicing generators as required
- Inspection of water systems, all locks and electrical fittings
- Upgrading units in accordance with issued programs
- Cleaning and painting of units
- Replacing batteries and gas bottles
- Dispose of waste in correct skips
- Travelling to and from Advanté service centres and client locations when required
- Repairs, maintenance and servicing of Advanté Oasis units whilst on site to ensure reliable operation of unit when required
- Liaise where necessary regarding technical advice
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- A valid full UK driving licence
- MPBA and Gas Safe qualification desirable
- You will be required to undertake and pass various vocational training courses and attend in-house training toolbox talks and supplier training to obtain/renew certifications/qualifications
- A good knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, floor-laying and painting is desirable
