ASME Engineering Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of structural steelwork projects, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining profitability and delivering excellent service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Measure and value works throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
  • Manage variations, change orders, and cost reporting.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Procure subcontractors and suppliers where required.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, engineers, and site teams.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the structural steel or construction industry.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
