ASME Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our workshop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding structural steel components to a high standard while working safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld structural steelwork from engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
- Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely.
- Assemble steel components accurately and within tolerances.
- Perform quality checks on completed work.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fabricator/Welder in a structural steel environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Competent in MIG welding (structural steel experience preferred).
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- Overhead crane or forklift experience.
- Experience working with architectural or structural steel
