About ASMALLWORLD ASMALLWORLD (SIX: ASWN) is a Swiss‑listed luxury travel and lifestyle membership company with over 120,000 members globally. We connect a curated community of discerning travellers with exclusive benefits, private experiences, and world‑class concierge services. We’re in an active growth phase – membership up 38% in 2025 – and are building the technology infrastructure to match.
Role We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands‑on CTO to own the tech vision and delivery for ASMALLWORLD. This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and carries full responsibility for product engineering, infrastructure, and the product roadmap. You’ll join at a pivotal moment: we’ve recently restructured the technology organisation and are investing in a modern, lean stack. Our priorities are clear – CRM activation, personalisation at scale, and building backend infrastructure that accelerates our membership and travel businesses. This role blends strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up sleeves and rapid‑loop on new innovations that delight members and drive growth.
What You’ll Own:
- Tech strategy and roadmap, aligned to commercial priorities.
- End‑to‑end engineering planning and delivery: product, platform, and infrastructure.
- CRM and marketing technology stack (both internal and third‑party platforms).
- Data architecture, member, and business analytics capabilities.
- Vendor and partner management, including third‑party integrations (hotel and airline loyalty programmes, financial institutions and other partners).
- Hiring and development of a small, high‑performing engineering team.
- Security, compliance, and data governance within the Swiss and EU regulatory context.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CTO or senior engineering leader in a consumer‑facing digital business, ideally in travel, luxury, or memberships/subscriptions.
- At least 6 years experience leading high‑performing tech teams.
- Strong full‑stack technical foundation – you can write and review code, make architecture decisions, and hold engineers accountable.
- Experience owning CRM or marketing technology systems, both proprietary and third‑party (ideally Salesforce).
- Commercial acumen – you understand the importance of the customer journey, sales and marketing conversion funnels, and can connect technical decisions to business outcomes and iterate solutions quickly.
- Proven experience identifying and delivering AI and automation projects that deliver transformational business change.
- Comfortable in a lean, high‑ownership, fast‑paced environment.
- High level of integrity and humility.
- Experience with and passion for collaborating with, influencing, and learning from peers.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Benefits A competitive compensation package and flexible/hybrid working (candidate location dependent). Beyond the numbers, you’ll join a team passionate about luxury travel and enjoy a range of travel benefits and exclusive perks (from 50% off rates at ~1,000 hotels worldwide, to car rental upgrades, and beyond). The chance to own the tech vision driving ASMALLWORLD’s next chapter of growth.
