About The Venue
Utilita Arena Sheffield opened in 1991, is a vibrant multi-purpose venue that hosts world-class concerts, sporting events, and family entertainment. With a capacity of up to 13,600, it is one of the UK\’s premier indoor arenas, having welcomed legendary acts like Elton John, Arctic Monkeys, and Oasis. The “House of Steel” is also home to the Elite League Grand Slam championship-winning ice hockey team, the Sheffield Steelers. About the Role
As our Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and supporting the kitchen staff.

Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, crockery and glassware are fully cleaned
- Ensure the kitchen and all food preparation areas are always clean and tidy.
- Complete a full clean down of the kitchens after service.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is a plus but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from senior staff.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Understanding of basic health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
