This is an exciting opportunity to join the team within one of the UK’s most modern and professional vehicle salvage agents and parts recyclers based in Thame, Oxford.
Key duties:
- We are looking for an experienced and motivated Transport Operational Administrator to be based at our main depot in Thame, Oxfordshire.
- You will be part of a logistics support team responsible for organising driver’s movements relating to vehicle collections and deliveries.
- This is a hands-on role focused on delivering efficient and cost-effective transport solutions for a modern fleet of 22-strong recovery transporters, whilst ensuring legal compliance and operational excellence.
- Liaising with our clients (insurance companies, recovery agents, body shops and the general public) to arrange vehicle collections and deliveries.
- Assist with the driver/vehicle run schedules for the collection and/or delivery of vehicles, ensuring optimum cost-effectiveness through the utilisation of full load capacity and compatible geographic locations.
- Assist with the planning of schedules for each driver in full consideration of EU driving regulations in respect of breaks, driving limits, and rest periods.
- Communicating with our fleet of recovery drivers throughout the day, dealing with any issues that arise in a professional manner.
- Ensure all contractual service obligations are met.
- Complete all reasonable tasks requested by colleagues efficiently.
