Job Description

A hands on Transport and Dispatch Operative is required for our market leading, award winning engineering client. In return there is an excellent salary of circa £35k-£40k+ dependant on experience with rewarding company benefits including;\\n\\n * generous annual company bonus,\\n\\n * excellent pension scheme,\\n\\n * gym facilities and healthcare\\n\\n * Christmas dinner hamper for all employees!\\n\\nin an established reputable company based in the Aylesbury region.. Apply now!\\n\\nThe ideal transport dispatch candidate will have the following key skills and experiences;\\n\\n * Good transport, route planning experience and logistics compliance knowledge\\n\\n * Daily hands on dispatch experience; – loading, unloading equipment, dispatch and returns of machinery, tracking vehicles and updating systems\\n\\n * Transport Dispatch coordination experience; dealing with and speaking to drivers, customers, tracking equipment arrival, dealing with issues, coordinating lists and not just loading and unloading\\n\\n * Transport and dispatch experience within: engineering, manufacturing, plant hire, hire fleet, vehicles, logistics, machinery hire, plant equipment is desirable, you must have good experience in a similar transport dispatch-related role\\n\\n * Good software IT skills, ability and experience of using supply chain systems, inventory control databases or hire systems (SAP, ERP, MRP or similar is desirable)\\n\\n * Full UK driving licence with own vehicle and based a commutable distance to Aylesbury daily (this role is not remote, part time or hybrid it is site based)\\n\\n * FLT is desirable but not as essential as hands on daily dispatch transport coordination experience\\n\\nKey responsibilities of this exciting dispatch deputy transport manager role include;\\n\\n * dispatching machinery and plant equipment efficiently\\n\\n * accurately checking and managing returned machinery,\\n\\n * safe loading and unloading of vehicles and compliance\\n\\n * accurately tracking vehicles and plant equipment on the system\\n\\n * Providing transport management support and deputising for transport manager by\\n\\n * coordinating drivers, monitoring delays, updating customers, communicating with clients\\n\\n * controlling, planning and organising collections and deliveries UK wide when deputising\\n\\nA full job description will be discussed and submitted to suitable dispatch candidates upon application.\\n\\nTo apply please email your cv with salary expectations and availability and how you meet our client’s dispatch operative criteria.
