Main Purpose of Manufacturing Quality Process Engineer
Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Manufacturing Quality objectives throughout series production. The focus of the role is to ensure Manufacturing Quality-owned processes are robustly defined, maintained, and continuously improved to support product conformity, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. The role will also lead the implementation of series production quality changes, ensuring effective deployment and sustained process compliance.

- Use appropriate data inputs such as PFMEA to develop and maintain as required, robust control plans that support consistent and effective process execution.
- Update and maintain process documentation required to support inspection, verification, and validation activities.
- Use appropriate data sources to develop comprehensive torque audit plans that align with build and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and complete execution of torque audit activities.
- Document all non‑conformances identified during torque audits and track them through to full resolution.
- Apply statistical tools and data‑analysis techniques to evaluate quality issues reported, identifying trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Engage proactively with cross‑functional departments—including Engineering, Corporate Quality, Logistics, and Launch—to support the timely and accurate delivery of all manufacturing quality deliverables.
Knowledge, skills & experience for the Manufacturing Quality Process Engineer
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Experience developing and maintaining Control Plans, PFMEAs, process documentation, and inspection standards.
- Engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Experience with quality system design and process mapping.
- Proven application of problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
