ASL Technical is recruiting for an experienced Senior CNC Setter/Operator with CNC turning experience to join a skilled precision engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Turner, CNC Machinist or CNC Setter/Operator who enjoys hands-on machining, solving technical challenges and producing high-quality precision-engineered components.

Fixed Head turning experience is highly desirable, as is experience using hyperMILL programming software, although neither is essential. If you have strong CNC turning or transferable machining experience, we'd still like to hear from you.

The Role

  • Setting and operating CNC Fixed Head lathes
  • Working from engineering drawings and job documentation
  • Loading and proving out CNC programs
  • Using or working with hyperMILL CNC programming software
  • Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection
  • Working to tight tolerances and GD&T requirements
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and improving processes
